Access Control System
NVR
A system which enables an authority to control access to areas and resource in a given physical facility. In physical security, the term
access control refers to the practice of restricting entrance to a property, building, or room to authorized personnel. An access control NETWORK
system determines who is allowed to enter or exit, where, when, and how they are allowed to enter or exit. PERIPHERAL
Access Control Product Types
An access control system includes the following product types : Control Panels, Standalone Controllers, Readers, Credentials, and
Software.
Credential Door Sensor Control Panel Analogue
or Camera
• Something you know (PIN) Exit Button Standalone
• Something you have (Badge/Card) Door Lock Controller DVR
• Something you are (Face, Fingerprint)
• RS-485/RS-422, TCP/IP
Reader
Management Software
• Card / Keypad / Biometric
• Dedicated / Integrated
LENS
Control Panel PERIPHERAL
Control panels, control physical access through doors and communicates with the management software (PC) through a TCP/IP or serial RS-485/422 MONITOR
communication line.
CONTROLLER
Reader
Access Control
Readers, reads the credential information and send it to control panels via a Wiegand communication line. Readers can have one or more interfaces, System
accommodating a combination of RFID cards as well as a keypad and biometric reader.
Credential
A card or credential contains a pass code, number, or biometric information which identifies the user to the access control system.
Management Software
Access control software enables the user to program a customized database into the system. Cardholder access parameters can be set up, as well as
enabling automatic door control and a number of customized features.
Proximity Card
Proximity cards, or “prox cards”, are read-only devices that are encoded once and are then used to transmit a fixed numeric value to a reader in the
125KHz frequency band, without the need to touch the reader.
Smart Card
Smart cards are contactless RF cards and tags operating in the 13.56MHz frequency band. 13.56MHz cards offer unique and secure ID codes and
additional memory to traditional proximity cards.
