SOLUTION FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT VEHICLES
THE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR VEHICLES
IN MOTION CAN BE AN EXCELLENT SECURITY SOLUTION FOR PUBLIC
TRANSPORT VEHICLES, BUT CAN BE INSTALLED ON ALL KINDS OF
MOVING VEHICLES.
Implementing the technology requires few tools, while its operation is simple and
automatic with a small number of devices (devoid of moving parts) installed on
the vehicles. The discreet, aesthetic and vandal-proof minidome cameras
of Intellio are installed in the passenger area. By virtue of their high light
sensitivity the cameras produce equally crisp images in both day-
and nighttime conditions.
Images are stored in the cameras, and are automatically
transferred to the Intellio video management system upon
the vehicle’s arrival to the terminus. Thus, images can be
tracked back anytime with the only limitation of the
vailable storage capacity. Playback of the recording is done
simply by selecting the vehicle and the time and date.
THE SYSTEM STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION
• Intellio vandal-proof minidome cameras with inbuilt memorystorage are capable of
independent operation even without constant server connection.
• The cameras store all footage on the internal SD cards when moving objects are
detected in the field of view with newer footage automatically replacing older ones.
• An Access Point with an external antenna connects smartcameras on board the
vehicles and the central system in the terminus.
• Power supply and the network connection between the cameras and Access Point
are provided by an industrial POE switch, which has to be connected to the battery
of the vehicle.
• The Intellio Video System management software overseeing the entire system is
installed in terminuses.
• Upon the vehicle’s arrival to the terminus the cameras automatically connect to
the central video management system using a WiFi network.
• The management software pinpoints the smartcameras on board the vehicle and
transfers the footage stored on the cameras.
• The management software registers each vehicle as a unit (and as a unique
storage group), making event trackback as easy as ABC, even in case of a
multitude of vehicles.
